By turning the key in reverse while the bolt is retracted, you can lock the bolt in place to enable two-way traffic for settings such as healthcare facilities, financial institutions, retail environments, and other scenarios where access needs to be open at specific times and restricted at others. It can be easily swapped with any MS1850S Deadlock of the same backset and faceplate shape without altering the stile.
